Mid 19th C. American gold leaf and applied ornament fluted cove frame

Frame #1979



This frame has a burnished cove with fluting and elongated leaves in the corners rising with a plain ogee band to a narrow top edge with overlapping leaves and corner straps with extending “wings”. The sides drop in a narrow ogee then broad cove to a half round motif at the back edge. Original gilding. Missing liner.

Moulding Width: 3 1/4

Any of our frames can be restored, re-sized or have a gilded liner added to alter the size.
