Mid 19th C. American applied ornament, gold leaf fluted cove frame

This frame has a fluted cove with acanthus leaves at the corners rising to the top edge with a crisscrossed design between two narrow fillets. Cove sides with a small plait motif at the back edge. Bronzed finish over original gilding. Missing liner.

Moulding Width: 2 3/4

Any of our frames can be restored, re-sized or have a gilded liner added to alter the size.
