Early 19th C. English or American gold leaf cove frame with applied ornament

This frame has a flat sight edge with a foliate and flat band above. The cove has acanthus leaves with large shells a the corners. The top edge has a delicate leaf design between two flat bands. The sides have a gilded cove with a painted flat below. Original gilding.

Rabbet Size: 19 3/8 x 27 5/8

Moulding Width: 4
