Late 19th C. American gold leaf and applied ornament frame

This frame has stylized acanthus leaves with large center ribs perpendicular to the cove. Large curling acanthus leaves at the corners with a plain rounded top edge. Cove sides with a row of large beads and gadroons at the back edge. Original gilding, missing liner.

Moulding Width: 4 1/2
