Description

This frame has a liner with a flat then bevel rising upward to a flat frieze with a somewhat Orientalist motif. The outer frame has a convex profile set with Acanthus leaves rising to the top edge with curling leaves and three balls set between with corner and center straps. Cove sides with lambs tongue detail on the back edge. The original gilding is obscured with bronze paint.
