Late 19th C. American gold leaf and applied ornament cove frame

This frame has a flat liner rising in a row of beads and multiple narrow bands to a flat ornamented frieze then a cove and larger beads. The main cove has acanthus leaves above which is a leaf and berry top edge with corner and center straps. Burnished cove sides with a narrow leaf design at the back edge. Original gilding.

Rabbet Size: 12 3/8 x 20 13/16

Moulding Width: 6 1/4
