Late 19th C. American applied ornament and gilded fluted cove frame

Frame #1985



This frame has a flat liner. The outer frame has a ribbon and stick below a flat step. The cove rises with fluting and acanthus leaf corners to a narrow leaf and berry top edge with corner straps. Cove sides with a curling ribbon at the back edge. Original gilding unknown. Bronze overpaint.

Moulding Width: 3 1/8
