Description
This frame has row of carved leaf tips at the sight edge below a narrow flat and the plain cove the rises to a carved twisted ribbon below a steep, curved top edge. A broad, shallow cove above a plain flat form the sides. Original gilding.
This style of frame is named after the 17th C. artist Salvator Rosa.
