Description

This frame has a cove, lambs tongue and corn husk motif at the sight edge rising to a narrow frieze below a row of beads. The main body of the frame has a burnished convex profile overlaid with separately carved and pierced acanthus leaves. The top edge has carved laurel leaves. Cove sides with a narrow ornamented band at the back edge. Original gilding.
