Late 19th C. American gold leaf Barbizon frame with applied ornament

Description
This frame has a flat liner, and middle liner with a linear foliate motif and a shallow cove. The outer frame rises steeply with floral centers and large, high relief curling leaves on a textured background. The corners have large fanned acanthus leaves with curled up tips. Cove sides with a broad leaf and trefoil banded design at the back edge. Original gilding.
