Late 19th C. American gold leaf and applied ornament Barbizon frame

Description
This frame has a flat liner and a band of acanthus leaves followed by an inset cove. The main frame has a flattened, curved profile with broad acanthus leaves alternating with stylized shells set in C-scrolls. Cove sides with trifoil and leaf design at the back edge. Original gilding with some bronze overpaint.

Moulding Width: 7 3/4
