Late 19th C. American gilded pier mirror with applied ornament with Egyptian influences.

Description

The convex columns rise on either side with leaf faced scrolls and other architectural forms at the base and tops which continue as projecting blocks with flower heads as part of the frieze. Above the cornice are pyramidal shapes with scrolls and centered leaves. The central crest rises above with the projecting head of a Pharaoh looking down.
