Frame size listings:
SIGHT SIZE refers to the smallest interior measure or opening size in the frame as viewed from the front of the frame.
RABBET SIZE refers to the inside measure from the back of the frame that the art or a mirror would fit into. This will usually be ¼ to ⅜ inch wider than the sight size on each side of the frame. For example: A frame with a sight size of 23 ½ X 29 ½ inches will usually have a rabbet size in back close to 24 X 30 inches that the artwork or mirror will fit into.
WIDTH refers to the moulding width from the inner sight edge to the outside edge of the frame.
